College of Agriculture began it's academic activities in Mullasani(Ramin) district, 40kms north of Ahvaz, in 1955. In 1969 this college was recognised as the best school of it's kind in Middle East countries.

In 1974, the College began its academic program in new building in the main campus of Shahid-Chamran University which is located in Golestan region of Ahvaz.
At that time, the college of agriculture offered four undergraduate programs in Irrigation, Plant Protection, Horticulture, Soil Sceince and Agronomy.
Since then this college has been continuosly expand its academic activity in both quantity and quality terms. At present, the college offering five undergraduate and seven graduate (M.Sc) programs in Agronomy, Entomology, Farm Machinery, Horticulture, Irrigation, Plant Pathology and Soil Sceince. The college also offers Ph.D degree in the area of Entomology, Farm Machinery, Irrigation Structures, Irrigation and Drainage and Hydrology.

From the research point of view, the academic members of college have been involved in conducting many research projects related to their fields.
